HISTORICAL COMMENTS ABOUT THE PLACE: The “Alda Costa” elementary School (originally dedicated to King Umberto I), was erected among the 1932 and the 1933 in the area of the former city hospital. It was built as part of the city redevelopment project called "Addizione Novecentista” and is more precisely located in the “quadrivio della cultura”. The latter also includes the Conservatory of Music, the Natural Science Museum and a leisure center. The most interesting element of the building is the 37-meter-tall clock tower, which is an example of rationalist architecture.
