Historical comments about the place:

Palazzo dei Diamanti is a beautiful palace located at the crossroads between the main axes of Ferrara: Porta Po-Porta Mare and Ercole I d'Este. It took its name from the over 8000 diamond shaped stones that cover the two facades of the building.

The legend says that under one of those stones there is a real diamond: over time lots of people tried to scratch one of them but they didn't get any results. Is the legend true? We don't know that, but this mysterious palace is certainly one of the most important expressions of Renaissance Art, with geometric proportions both in the sizes of the two facades and in every little "diamond".

Maths imply in it: proportions and areas.

Student鈥檚 names: Mattia Casadei, Serena Prandini, Francesca Ciancio.
