Historical comments about the place:
Ferrara was born as a medieval town. With roads parallel to the ancient river Po, that was called “Padus” (the latin name).
Since 1152 river Po has changed his course, and now it flows in the northern part of the city.
Also Ferrara changed his shape, and with the Herculean Addition, at the end of Middle-age, new streets were built, perpendicular to each other. The city’s walls were moved to incorporate the new part of Ferrara.
Maths imply in it: circumference and trigonometry.
