Historical comments about the place.
The Mota´s fortress was a defensive place which is situated in the tallest point of Alcalá la Real. It is based on the Nazarí period. Before the arrival of Cristians, this castle, which has a lot of walls, towers and defensive tunnels, was occupated by Musulman people.
The Mota has a big amount of parts like the prison, the abacial church and different places where people used to live in.
