ROMAN'S BRIDGE

HISTORICAL COMMENTS ABOUT THE PLACE: This bridge is 250 metres long and it is based on 16 ancient Roman foundations. It spans over the Guadalquivir river just in front of the famous Mezquita Mosque. It was built under the command of the Roman emperor Augustus, the Moors extended it to the state which it appears today. The bridge was a roman commercial and military route and it played a key role in medieval times.
