Historical comments about the place.

The Castle of La Mota is a medieval fortress city located in Alcalá la Real. It was built by the Muslims and the Christians in the VIII century and it was conquered by Alfonso XI in 1341. Firstly, this arch is the first door used to came into the muslim part, called “Alcazaba”, then, another different bigger arch, built by the “califas”, and finally, the last arch, which is a pointed arch, by the Christians. They were built one after another, to make the tower stronger.
