Historical comment about the place:
St. Mary's Basilica is one of the most well-known historic building in Cracow and in Poland
in general. It is, apart from Wawel Cathedral, the most important church in Cracow. It is
situated on the Cracow main square.The Basilica is a gothic church built in medieval times. It
has two towers. Every hour a trumpeter plays a trumpet signal called 'hejnał' from the taller
one. The lower tower a bell-tower.
