Historical comment about the place: Oliveira de Azeméis’ church is a religious monument which was built in the 18th century, between 1719 and 1729. This building is coated with artistic tiles, and this is one of the things that makes this monument so beautiful. It is believed that the place where this building is located used to be the place where another temple was. This church is also known as São Miguel’s church, since this is the patron saint of the city.
