ian.kell07

This is still part of our green route Maths trail, now we know Romeo wasn't a geordie, but romance still lives on the river. Alderman Fenwick fell in love with Betty Surtees behind the guildhall and as all good romantics do, he and Betty ran off in the night to get married, as they fled her fathers house they would have passed the guildhall, and perhaps Bessie looked back that night and

Looked up to the clock tower. Why not do the same? and then ask yourself

a) Which way is the wind blowing today?

b) How many sides does the clock tower have?

c) What is the name of a shape with this many sides?
